Overview

Cremit is a secret detection service that works with source code versioning services, collaboration tools, and messengers to effectively detect and alert you to API keys and PII data. It integrates with various services in a convenient and development-free way to provide accurate (no false positives) information about the overall secret threats in your organization.

Probe Scanner

Probe, developed by Cremit, automatically and incrementally collects data from connected services and is very effective in detecting hidden secrets in the data. The found secrets are validated so that you only receive notifications about the secrets that are actually active.

The monitoring tool supports over 900 secret types (e.g., AWS Access Key) and validates patterns that are difficult for security teams to recognize (e.g., URL-based credentials such as SAS Tokens in Azure). No false positives, just true positives for quick action.

How it Works

Cremit's Probe detection service works with source code, DevOps tools, storage, cloud services, and documents to detect and validate API credentials along with personal information and alert security teams.

By integrating with notification systems such as Slack, you can receive real-time detection results and verify whether the credentials are active or not, helping you to continuously improve security.

TL;DR

Probe, which means “Probe Out” in English, is a product that scours the cloud for exposed credentials. Probe overcomes the limitations of existing credential detection products to provide complete security.
